Description of Services: After School Respite serves 26 minority-working families
whom have an MR/DD child at home. The Program provides children ages 5 - 16 with an opportunity to increase socialization, participation in mainstreaming and inclusionary activities, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, etc. This program operates full time during the Winter break, Spring break and two weeks in August.

Languages: English/Spanish
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
(July - June)
Catchment Area: Bronx
Restrictions: Parent(s) must be employed and the child's disability
must satisfy the criteria set by OMRDD.
Special Features/Other information: This program is considered to be a model
program for agencies interested in providing similar
services to this population.
