Family and Youth Peer Support (FYPS)
Family & Youth Programs
Family and Youth Peer Support
Navigating emotional, behavioral, or school-related challenges? No one has to do it alone.
The Family and Youth Peer Support program supports children, teens, young adults, and caregivers across the Bronx. FYPS pairs families and young people with trained peer advocates who have lived through similar experiences themselves, and come out the other side. Many families facing mental health and behavioral challenges struggle to find services that truly understand them, and often feel isolated moving between school, healthcare, and other complex systems. FYPS meets families where they are, offering support from someone who genuinely gets it.
Lived Experience
Advocates who have faced similar challenges themselves, and understand what your family is going through.
For the Whole Family
Support for both caregivers and young people, so everyone has someone in their corner.
Judgment-Free
A welcoming space, no matter where you're starting from on your journey.
Support That Meets You Where You Are
FYPS pairs families and young people with peer advocates who have been there themselves:
Family Peer Advocate
A trained advocate for caregivers, offering guidance and understanding for the whole family.
Youth Peer Advocate
A trained advocate for young people, offering support from someone who truly gets it.
