The Early Childhood Services at Kingsbridge Heights Community Center recently celebrated their annual Literacy Day. This special event offered our youngest scholars and budding readers a unique chance to travel the globe through the magic of books.
They delved into the cultures of countries like India, Mexico, Albania, and more, under the guidance of our very own captain, Marisol Rios, along with her team of flight attendants. This immersive reading experience allowed them to gain insights into various traditions and cultures.
Post-event, the young participants were thrilled to receive gift bags filled with a selection of books and stimulating activities. After a snack break, the children joyfully headed back to their classrooms.
We express our deepest appreciation to Literacy Inc, PBS Kids, and JetBlue Airlines for their generous contributions of books, goodie bags, and treats for the children - their support truly made a difference.
