KHCC supports the entire Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and is committed to combating violence against any member of our community. KHCC denounces gender-based violence, white supremacy and extremism, and any means by which community members are attacked based on their race, ethnicity, religion, identity, or expression. We are horrified by the anti-Asian attacks in Atlanta on March 16, 2021 as well as the increasing hate crimes against the AAPI community over the last several years and during the course of the pandemic.
Asian Americans have long fought for civil rights in this country, and they have been met with brutality. We mourn with you and ask that all our community members come together in good faith to care for each other and refuse to be passive bystanders to hate against our neighbors. We ask for love, dignity, respect, and justice.
