Raise the Roof Spring Cocktail Event to Raise Money for the Bronx’s Most Vulnerable Families
BRONX, NY – On Tuesday, May 15, Kingsbridge Heights Community Center will host their annual Spring Rooftop Cocktail Event at Yotel NYC in the heart of midtown Manhattan. The fundraising event, which will be held from 6-8 pm, will raise money to support KHCC’s work with low income families in the Bronx.
Raise the Roof is a highly-anticipated happy hour event bringing together leading executives, community leaders and key donors. The event, hosted by KHCC’s Board of Directors, will highlight the agency’s efforts to empower the Bronx’s most sidelined residents, including new immigrants, children with special needs, survivors of sexual assault and families living below the poverty line. All proceeds from the Raise the Roof event will support the agency’s programs.
“This event is a intimate way to get to know the incredible people of KHCC and the critical role KHCC plays in the lives of so many in the Bronx,” said Lisa Lindvall, the Chair of the agency’s Board of Directors. “We hope that attendees will not only mingle and have fun but become equally impassioned about KHCC’s mission and offer their support and expertise to improve the quality of life for others.”
Attendees of the cocktail event will have the opportunity to donate to KHCC. The night will also include raffles to win exclusive packages with items such as custom jewelry, luxury beauty items, autographed memorabilia and meals prepared by a personal chef.
“KHCC is a powerful force in combating child victimization, and reversing the barriers of poverty and trauma,” KHCC’s Executive Director, Margaret Della. “This annual event raises awareness of KHCC’s critical role in the Bronx and helps support our programs that advance our kids’ academic milestones, literacy, nutrition, wellness, creativity and access to resources.”
