Kingsbridge Heights Community Center To Host Annual Neighborhood Festival

BRONX, NY – Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC) will host its annual Neighborhood Festival on Saturday, May 5, 2018. The event, set to take place from 11am – 4pm, will be held in the street outside of KHCC’s main site at 3101 Kingsbridge Terrace.

The highly-anticipated Neighborhood Festival celebrates the culture of the community served by KHCC. The day’s event will be include family-friendly activities such as gardening, face painting and games. There will also be dance performances, music provided by Bronx-based collective Uptown Vinyl Supreme’s DJ Sunny Sheeba, and a special performance from Rapper/Singer Kei-Landa.

Attendees will have a chance to participate in raffle with great prizes as well as give-aways. Families are invited to enjoy flavorful BBQ; learn about our space rental opportunities; register to vote; and get to know KHCC programs.

This year’s Neighborhood Festival will also feature a service component. In honor of Earth Day, we will be partnering with Latino Outdoors for a volunteer project. Volunteers will help care for the KHCC garden and park. This project is a great opportunity to bring the community together to give back to KHCC.
