Bronx, NY - Kingsbridge Heights Community Center (KHCC) is proud to host its annual Literacy Day on Tuesday, December 10 from 9am to 12pm. The special event, to be held at KHCC's Early Childhood Services Site II (295 West 231st Street, Bronx, NY 10463), will feature special appearances by story book characters and a giveaway featuring books donated by JetBlue.
KHCC's Literacy Day highlights the importance of reading in the development of children and the strengthening of family relationships. The day, organized by members of KHCC's Board, will continue the agency's tradition of advocating for literacy - a key focus of the overall mission.
"Literacy Day is an opportunity for parents, volunteers, and children at KHCC to read together no matter their reading level," said Margaret Della, Executive Director of KHCC. "It is a special time to provide a space for the community to explore. "
