KHCC Tweens Debut Spring 2019 Film

Through a Spring project collaboration with social justice non-profit, Justice by the Pen, KHCC Tweens wrote, planned and starred in their own film! The group of 6th grade six grade students debuted the film at KHCC in front of fellow Teen Center participants. They also held a Q&A and shared their experience making the film.

"They developed the idea, created the story board, wrote the script, helped shoot/edit, etc., all with the help of Hany and Ayesha," said Sadie Mahoney, Chief Officer of Youth & Family Service. "They were extremely ambivalent the day of the screening. However, it was like night and day during the Q&A after the film was shown. They were proud, confident, fielding questions, taking credit, etc."
