VOLUNTEERING

The Kingsbridge Heights Community Center is not just a building. It is a community comprised of the thousands of individuals we help each year and the hundreds more who contribute their time, energy, and talent to making a difference.

Some of our volunteers have been with us for a day, others for decades.

Have you always wanted to work with young people? Maybe you want to help plant a garden or greet guests when they arrive at our doors. There are so many ways to contribute. Why not consider joining us?

If you are a student, you may be eligible for credit or internship hours as part of our programming.

SPECIFIC VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

English Tutor for Middle/High School Students

• Mature adult needed with excellent writing skills
• Experience working with youth is preferred
• 4-8 hours per week
• Late afternoons and evenings

Volunteers may also assist college-bound juniors and seniors with writing their personal statements for college applications.
