CASAC/Substance Abuse Specialist - Family Treatment & Rehabilitation

Hours: Monday-Friday, including at least one evening. Hours subject to change based on program/agency needs.

Supervision: Reports to FTR Site Supervisor

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate service for families impacted by substance abuse.
  • Identify and coordinate substance abuse treatment needs and aftercare linkages
    Provide outreach to the families though home visits, and other interventions to engage or facilitate treatment.
  • Facilitate Groups
  • Work collaboratively with Case Planners and Parent Aide, supervisor and program director.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings and coordinate aftercare services within the community.
  • Collaborate with the ACS field office, ACS Office of Case Management and ACS Clinical Consultation team.

Qualifications:

  • CASAC certification required
  • CASAC certification and Bachelors Degree with a minimum of three (3) years experience working with substance abuse
  • Experience providing service to families using strengths based approach
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to abuse/maltreatment issues
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Able to function independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English preferred)

Part-Time Child and Family Therapist

Hours: 20-28 hours/week, Saturday and weekday evenings. Hours subject to change based on program/agency needs.

Supervision: Reports to Clinical Director

Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapy to children, youth and families who are survivors of trauma and child sexual and physical abuse; complete with initial contacts and intakes.
  • Conduct clinical assessment; diagnosis and complete treatment plan, maintain timely case records, progress notes and complete monthly statistics and other documentation.
  • Provide information and referral, advocacy, case management, follow up, crisis intervention and coordinate with other service providers and involved systems as indicated for the participant and crisis intervention.
  • Participate in clinical case supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned, including participant advocacy.

Qualifications:

  • LCSW or LMSW with at least 1 year experience with children and families 
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Clinical experience with trauma and sexual abuse survivors is required.

Responsibilities:

INTERNSHIP: College Directions Program (ongoing)

Hours: 10 hours per week (minimum)

Responsibilities:

The intern will be responsible for planning and will assist in conducting college education workshops for juniors and seniors in the program. They will also take on a small caseload of students to assist in the process of applying to college. The intern will work on special projects and/or programs: game nights, college fairs, college trips, etc.

The essential functions of the internship include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Research and assist in the coordination of workshops that pertain to college appplications throughout the year.
  • Provide individual counseling for students discussing financial aid options, college selection, and the actual application process.
  • Research in private scholarships, donations, and funding opportunities for the students and program as a whole.
  • Collaboratively work within the Youth Department during activities, trips, and events for youth participants across the program areas.

What the intern will gain:

  • One-on-one experience in academic and personal counseling.
  • Training in the Goddard Riverside Options Method.
  • Experience in running groups and program-wide trips.
  • The ability to design workshops and events for youth.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with high school age students.
  • A full understanding of the college selection and application process.
  • Ability to work until 9pm on days of internship.
  • Male students strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
  • Undergraduate and Graduate students welcomed.
